As I stand before you today, I am filled with a profound sense of gratitude and purpose. I want to take a moment to reflect on the incredible journey we have navigated together during these challenging times, especially as a small-town family doctor serving each and every one of you, regardless of age or background.

When the COVID-19 pandemic first emerged, it felt like a storm that swept through our lives, leaving uncertainty and fear in its wake. In those early days, I found myself grappling with the same emotions that many of you experienced. The world as we knew it was changing, and so was our approach to healthcare.

As a family doctor, my role transformed overnight. I became not just a physician but a source of hope and reassurance for my patients. I remember the anxious calls from families, the worried voices of parents seeking guidance for their children, and the elderly patients who felt particularly vulnerable. I made it a priority to reach out to patients of all ages, from the little ones who needed routine check-ups to the seniors with chronic conditions.
